2. Hi Ma!

   Well, a few months have passed since your wonderful celebration and now, one of the secets we tried to keep until the party is here, in the flesh. Gabrielle Elise Carter now has the honor of looking into your beautiful face and seeing all the love, grace, wisdom and beauty you have showered on us throughout my life. You were with me during the delivery of all three of my children, your precious gandchildren and you have been my source of strength and comfort through the scary days and medical challenges I have faced since giving birth less than two weeks ago. I am basking in the comfort of your care; your gentle anointing of my head with oil in the middle of the night; your firmbut loving command for me to rest and get better, while you take care of my newborn and look after Talia and Jas, while Bill keeps watch over me in the hospital. Talia is almost ten now and through every stage of motherhood for me, you've been right there. Thank you for teaching me by precept and example how to love my children; how to listen to them and give them each what they need to feel loved and encouraged. Thank you for loving me and Bill, praying for us, our marriage, our home and our lives. I could never thank God enough for blessign me with you. If I had the millions my heart feels I owe you, it still wouldn't be enough to show you how much you mean to me. I have the best example of a woman, a wife and a mother all wrapped up in you and I only pray that God grant me the grace to be as wise, faithful, loyal, prayerful and effective a wife and mother as you are. I also thank God that I can honestly call you my confidante and my friend. I am overwhelmed by the love you show me everyday and I will continue to strive to make you proud!

4. Mrs. White, I wish you the best 60th birthday ever (although you don’t look passed 30). You are truly someone who needs to be celebrated. Your quite strength and determination has continued to keep your family values strong. I admire you and thank you for raising such wonderful children, who know the true meaning of friendship and love. Thank you for accepting me and my children (and telling me not to worry they can’t break anything in the house, so relax). I value your knowledge, strength, perseverance and quite guidance in all you do. I am extremely grateful and a better person for having known you. Have a wonderful birthday!!

5. Happy Birthday Aunt Gloria: I am so sorry I wasn't able to make this well-deserved celebrate of the life of such a great woman. I've always admired you for your character, wisdom, strength, and love. Your character has always been on of integrity, courtesy, respect and care. Your wisdom has been reflected in how you've entreat your husband, his friends, your local church and those in the church world. Your strength burst through during times of challenges with you consistently maintaining your faith and trust in God. "A perfect example of a woman of God". Lastly, the way you care about others--unselfish, patient and generous. I appreciate you and I am glad to have experienced such a "treasure" in my lifetime. 6. Happy Birthday:

   Coming to Atlanta in 1994, I was looking for something different in a church. You and Pastor White showed us love, invited us in your home for Thanksgiving, and were there for us through thick and thin. You have always been such a gracious woman of God, beautiful inside and out. I watched your excitement of your first grandchild. Now I am a grandmother! You have been such a inspiration. May God bless you even more for this special day.

7. Sis White. When Shante', Mom and I moved here from Seattle, we had no idea that we would have been welcomed with such sincere and loving open arms. I'm like in shock now because I really cannot believe that you are turning 60! Dear Royal Highness, Distinguish Lady, Example of Elegance, Walking Epistle, Pillar of Strength, Vessel of Grace, Fashion Extraordinaire, Ever Vivacious, One of Monumental Beauty, Profound Theogolical Professor, Pragmatic Genius, Illustrious First Lady, Utopian, God's Masterpiece, Devoted Wife, True Example of a Mother, Ebony Queen, Intellectual Wonder, Original, Matriarch and Child of God. As you can see, we are at a lost for words that fairly depicks you. We finally realize, there isn't any.

   So we just simply say: Happy Birthday. We don't say "May God Bless You", for it is already pronounced that "You Are Bless" and your life is the undispued proof!

12. In the mid 80's I was blessed to meet a preacher who would always say he had made two right choices in his life, God and Gloria. Not many men would acknowledge the love and pride of their wives as this man did. But what really wanted me to get to know you well was this over 6 ft tall preacher's admittance that a woman who stood slightly taller than 5 feet could make this man say he was afraid of her. Not because she was mean, but because she was a prayer warrior. I longed to meet this woman, and so I did. I loved you in spirit, becasue you were the wife of a person I considered to be a spiritual brother, mentor and friend. However, now I love you in truth, because I know you to be a faithful woman of God; I know for myself that you love God, your family and true friends. You are a praying woman. A woman who helped me to learn to go in, in prayer and get to the heart of God for myself. I miss our noon-day prayer meetings. I miss being with you and your family; I miss my time with Bishop on the road. If any one sits down and talks to you for any length of time they learn where your heart is. With your family and God. So my sister in Christ, I don't know if I will be there in the flesh, but I can say, today, October 7, 2008, if not in the flesh, my spirit will be there and I wish you another life-time of happines and joy. We have shared a lot, and you know beyond a doubt, I am your friend and I love you dearly. Jean Go ahead and cry. It's alright, it's all in love.
